CTO as a service for your business.
Technical decisions, architecture and the roadmap, led by senior engineers.
For companies without their own CTO, with tools we’ve already tested.
When an outside CTO makes sense.
A good fit
- You have a product or internal tools, but no one senior owns the technology
- You’re about to choose a stack, a vendor or an AI tool and want someone on your side
- Your developers need technical direction more than extra hands
- You want to use AI in the business but don’t know what’s ready
Not a fit
- You need a full-time, in-house CTO to run a large team every day
- Only need something built? That’s our core work: custom software, apps and AI automation, built end to end by the same senior engineers.
Everything a CTO would do. Without the hire.
Technical decisions
Build or buy, which stack, and what to leave out, with the reasons.
Architecture
How your systems fit together, so they can grow and stay maintainable.
Roadmap
What to build first, what can wait, and in what order.
AI and new tools
Which ones are ready for your business, from what we’ve already tested.
Vendors and proposals
A technical read of quotes and proposals before you sign.
Your developers
We give them technical direction. If you have none, our team builds it.
Start small. Agree the rest together.
- 01A 15-minute callWhere you are, what’s blocking you, and whether an outside CTO is the right answer.
- 02Agree the scopeWhich decisions we own, how often we meet and how we report.
- 03Ongoing leadershipRegular meetings, every decision documented, and a roadmap your team can follow.
- 04Build, if you wantWe can also build with you. It’s an option, not a condition.
Ongoing, or for one decision. You choose.
CTO as a service
- Technical leadership month after month
- Regular meetings and a clear roadmap
- Best when technology is central to you
A specific technical decision
- Choosing a stack, vendor or AI tool
- A second opinion on another vendor’s quote
- An architecture review before you scale
Many clients start with one decision and continue from there. Either way, it starts with a 15-minute call.
We recommend what we already use. Not what we’ve read about.
Every new tool goes through our own projects before we recommend it. The Edge Log records what we adopted, what we’re still testing and what we dropped, with the reason.
What is CTO as a service?
Technical leadership from an outside team instead of a full-time hire: someone senior who owns the technical decisions, the architecture and the roadmap, on an ongoing basis.
How is it different from a fractional CTO?
Same idea, one difference: one person owns your decisions, with a team of senior engineers behind them.
Can we hire you for one decision only?
Yes. For a one-off decision, such as choosing a stack, reviewing another vendor’s quote or checking an architecture, we work without an ongoing commitment. We agree the scope on a 15-minute call.
Do we have to build with you?
No. Many companies only need the leadership. If you later want us to build, we can, but it’s never a condition.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how much leadership you need. We don’t publish prices: we agree the scope and the budget after a free 15-minute call.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. We work remotely from Barcelona, in Spanish or English, with clients in Europe, the United States and other countries.
How do we start?
Book a free 15-minute call, or tell us about your project and a senior engineer will reply.
